La Galería Pilar Parra & Romero se complace en anunciar la exposición audiovisual del tándem artístico “Masbedo” formada por los italianos Nicoló Massazza y Jacobo Bedogni.
Supone confrontarse a la reflexión paradójica entre la voluntad y el destino, entre lo que se percibe que se quiere y lo que realmente se consigue, lo que es lo mismo; confrontarse a una narración visual de naturaleza metafóricamente fragmentada y no en general explícita que se centra en el ser humano.
De este modo tanto en sus series fotográficas como en sus videointalaciones, Masbedo introduce el cuerpo humano en el centro de acción de sus piezas, bien sugerido en toda su amplitud, bien trascendido por presencias en apariencia supra-humanas, pero siempre bajo el prisma de lo paradójico, construyendo seres impolutos sobre terrenos contaminados que se mueven ambiguamente entre la inocencia y la perfidia.
Pues Massaza y Bedogni entretienen al protagonista de la acción en escaleras que no conducen a ninguna parte, en estructuras arquitectónicas solitarias, en paisajes aislados y extraños, en habitaciones vacías, en espacios inubicables, en escenarios acuático-oníricos, incluso en la propia fragmentación del cuerpo humano para esclarecer su búsqueda del deseo desde un lenguaje de estética muy cuidada.
