En el segundo proyecto realizado en “The Back Room”, David Martínez Suárez (Asturias 1984) expone alrededor de siete collage de medio formato y cuatro módulos.
Dentro de su trabajo David incluye elementos comunes que funcionan como hilos conductores que unen el carácter individual de cada obra en un
esquema en el que siempre se mantiene un carácter fragmentario. Una paleta de primarios y el juego geométrico intencionados hacen guiño a las cuestiones de forma modernas y que revelan por otro lado la irradiación de la opulencia, a pesar de su hincapié en la sencillez. Los collage muestran recortes de papel con escenas que ponen en contrapunto aspectos sociopolíticos con iconos de belleza y a su vez de divinidad que a través de su uso y apropiación continuada van perdiendo su valor social como tal.
Sus esculturas toman el título de Módulos que, como su nombre lo indica, son unidades de colores y texturas sólidas que dependen una de otra, lo más importante de ellas es la
investigación de los limites del material y como se relacionan con los demás elementos.
Para David una estructura es una combinación de elementos solidarios entre ellos, cada elemento depende del otro y sólo puede ser lo que es gracias a los demás.

In his work David includes common elements that work as a thread that join the individual character of each work in a structure that maintains a fragmentary quality. A primary palette and an intended geometric game wink at modern form questions that reveal on one side the irradiation of opulence despite its emphasis on simplicity. The collages show paper cuttings with scenes that counterpoint socio-political aspects with beauty and divinity icons that with its continuous use and appropriation gradually lose their social value.
